NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is a national-level scholarship program in India. It is considered as the most prestigious and the most difficult examination at high school level in the country.
The objective of NTSE is to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent and help them for higher studies by providing scholarship at different stages.
The NTSE Examination is conducted for students studying in Class 10th only.
All students of Class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage - 1 examination, conducted by the State/UT's, in which the schools are located.
NTSE Stage-I examination at State/UT level are advised to follow National pattern which comprise of two parts MAT and SAT.
MAT (Mental Ability Test) shall contain questions from analogies, series, problem solving, reasoning, classification, figures, coding words, etc. The MAT test check the candidate's ability to think, reasoning and problem solving.
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) shall contain questions from Science, Mathematics, history, geography, political science and economics. There will a Language comprehensive test also.

– The students applying for the NTSE scholarship programme must register and fill in application for the same through the official links. To obtain application forms in paper mode, either candidates can download from the official link or contact the State/UT officer. They have to submit the duly-filled application form to the state/UT officer after getting it signed by their school principal.
